You would be glad to know that Hon'ble Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism-Canada, Mr. Jason Kenney, has announced faster immigration of Federal Skilled Worker applications to limit their processing time.

Applicable with retrospective effect from February 27, 2008, the new action plan for faster immigration will benefit

Professionals in38 Priority Occupation List such as Teaching, Health Care, Finance, Hospitality, Skilled Trades etc. The most significant point is applicants under this new Skilled Worker class will receive their Permanent Residency decision within 6-12 months as compared to up to 6 years.

The applicants who do not fall under the 38-occupation list would qualify under other categories like if they obtain Arranged Employment Opinion or opt for   Edu-Skilled category or Provincial Nominee Programs or move as Temporary Foreign Workers that would qualify them for PR through new Canadian Experience Class.

In case the applicant obtains Arranged Employment, CTP would help in processing the application, or else if the applicant shows keen interest, CTP can validate Job Offer and get Arranged Employment Opinion from HRSDC.
