PROVINCIAL NOMINEE PROGRAM: New Brunswick
     

New Brunswick recognizes that immigration is a resource of skills, entrepreneurship, expertise, global relations, and capital, which helps generate added employment and investment. New Brunswick keenly seeks qualified immigrants who will fill labour market shortages, or create employment and business prospects through the Provincial Nominee Program. 

There are two categories of applicants for Nomination:

  1. Job Offer Applicants
  2. Business Plan Applicants
 

Job Offer Applicants

   
 

Applicants must have a guaranteed job offer in their intended occupation to be considered for nomination by New Brunswick PNP.

In order to hire foreign skilled workers New Brunswick employers must demonstrate that they are having difficulty finding these skills in the local job market. As an applicant to this Program, one must make a pledge to settle permanently in New Brunswick and sign a declaration stating their intention to live and work in this province.

The Eligibility Criteria to be considered for a job applicant are:

  • Must obtain a minimum of 50 points on self assessment criteria
  • Employment is a guaranteed permanent and fulltime job from an established company
  • Job applicants must have a guaranteed job offer in their intended occupation
  • Employment in intended occupation is consistent with employee’s education, training and experience
  • Employee must have relevant licensing & accreditation for that occupation
  • Employment fills a skills shortage in New Brunswick
  • Job must meet provincial employment standards and offer comparable industry rates of pay
  • Make a commitment to settle permanently in New Brunswick
  • Sign a declaration stating intention to live and work in this province.

Business Plan Applicants

   
 

Applicants must have an approved Business plan to do business in New Brunswick. A Business applicant who has been nominated under New Brunswick Nominee Program is totally expected to reside, work and conduct business in New Brunswick and become a permanent resident of this province. As an applicant to this Program, one must make a pledge to settle permanently in New Brunswick and sign a declaration stating their intention to live and work in this province.

The Eligibility Criteria to be considered as a Business applicant are:

  • Must obtain a minimum of 50 points on self assessment criteria
  • Ability to speak English and/or French is critical to businessman’s success in NB
  • Have previous management experience with proven success as a senior executive or business owner
  • Business skills must be relevant to the proposed business in NB
  • Adequate Personal Net worth
  • Personal net worth requirement will vary based on business venture proposed
  • Certain amount of capital available for investment in a business
  • Have enough funds to finance the first phase of planned business project without third party assistance
  • Ample finances to support family for a period of up to two years
  • Participate in business in an active managerial role.
  • Commitment to settle permanently in New Brunswick.
  • Sign a declaration stating intention to live and work in NB.

Business applicants must have an approved Business plan to do business in New Brunswick.

   

International Graduates:

   
 

New graduates considering applying for permanent immigration through the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program should work for a year in New Brunswick before they submit their application.

The job must also meet other program requirements:

    Job offer must be from an established New Brunswick company;
    • Employment is permanent and full-time
    • Employment in the intended occupation is in tune with the applicant's education, training and experience;
    • Job must meet provincial employment standards and offer comparable industry rates of pay;
    • Skills offered by the potential immigrant are not readily available in New Brunswick
    • Applicant should have relevant provincial licensing or accreditation
    • Employment must be in the Province of New Brunswick.
